Supervise and mentor a team of property accountants
Review and approve financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations
Ensure timely completion of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations
Maintain and enforce department Standard Operating Procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support client needs and internal initiatives
Participate in industry events and trade shows as needed
Provide backup support during team absences to ensure continuity of service
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
8+ years of experience in property accounting
Prior experience managing accounting teams
Strong knowledge of real estate accounting practices
Experience with MRI Property Management X (PMX) software is a plus
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
