About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a liaison for Parkinson's disease, ALS, and other neurodegenerative research programs.
- Support management and analysis of the Parkinson's disease research portfolio, including tracking funded projects, analyzing scientific trends, monitoring performance, and strategic planning.
- Prepare presentations, briefing materials, reports, and scientific communications for institute leadership.
- Contribute to budget planning, portfolio reporting, and programmatic analyses supporting neuroscience priorities.
- Coordinate scientific and administrative activities by facilitating meetings, gathering stakeholder input, documenting action items, and supporting collaboration.
- Analyze scientific and programmatic data to evaluate portfolio performance and identify emerging research opportunities.
- Maintain and update Parkinson's disease and neuroscience program communications, website content, funding opportunity information, outreach materials, and scientific-community resources.
- Support scientific workshops, advisory committee meetings, conferences, and other program activities through planning, coordination, and follow-up.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree or higher in neuroscience, biology, biomedical sciences, public health, or a related scientific field.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting scientific research or federal research programs.
- Knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases, including ALS, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, or related neuroscience research.
- Experience with grants, cooperative agreements, or scientific program management.
- Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
