About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write software that scales across tens of thousands of tasks used to build, test, and release Firefox every day
  • Collaborate with senior+ engineers to improve the developer experience and implement improvements
  • Work with a geographically distributed development team across North America and Europe
  • Request and provide code reviews
  • Respond to critical service outages during normal working hours; no on-call rotation is required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related programs, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Python
  • Passion for CI/CD pipelines
  • Previous experience using cloud resources such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Comfortable developing in Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Experience working on a team distributed across time zones
  • Enjoyment of becoming familiar with and improving existing code bases and tools
