About the role

  • The Mozilla Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit organization focused on ensuring the Internet is a global public resource, open and accessible to all. Join the People & Culture team to steward employee experience, talent development, engagement, performance management, People operations, and workplace policies. HR Generalist role blending People Operations and Recruitment; manage day-to-day HR processes across full employee lifecycle. Full-time, one-year fixed-term position with potential to become permanent. People Operations responsibilities (~60%): manage leave processes, support benefits administration and reporting, maintain HR systems, support people analytics, knowledge management, compliance, and employee inquiries. Recruitment & Hiring responsibilities (~40%): manage recruiting for range of roles, post jobs, source candidates, conduct screens, coordinate interviews, manage scheduling, contribute to sourcing strategies, and reinforce employee brand.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, or similar role Experience in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment (preferred) Experience working in an international environment and navigating diverse cultural contexts (a plus) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to create and interpret reports Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and exercise confidentiality Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and empathy Highly organized and self-motivated; able to adapt to team and organizational needs Superior knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems; comfortable learning new technology PHR/SHRM-CP certification is a plus
