About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Recommend and implement improvements to the cloud platform.
Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems and applications using cloud-native architectures such as microservices and containers.
Manage, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and sustainability.
Ensure proper security controls and compliance with industry standards and implement cloud security tools like Prowler and Kubescape.
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues efficiently.
Collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to deliver best-in-class cloud solutions.
Automate system operations and support disaster recovery planning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Pulumi.
Work with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, leveraging AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other cloud platforms.
Integrate AI and machine learning services into cloud solutions for automation, predictive analytics, and enhanced decision-making.
Develop and maintain knowledge of edge computing and Internet of Things (IoT) integrations.
Utilize serverless computing and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
Implement DevSecOps practices for secure cloud deployments.
Stay current with emerging trends including quantum computing and cloud sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Hands-on experience in cloud platforms—AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are highly desirable
Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices
For senior roles: Demonstrated leadership, mentoring abilities, and experience architecting and managing enterprise-scale cloud environments
