About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Recommend and implement improvements to the cloud platform.
- Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems and applications using cloud-native architectures such as microservices and containers.
- Manage, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and sustainability.
- Ensure proper security controls and compliance with industry standards and implement cloud security tools like Prowler and Kubescape.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to deliver best-in-class cloud solutions.
- Automate system operations and support disaster recovery planning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Pulumi.
- Work with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, leveraging AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other cloud platforms.
- Integrate AI and machine learning services into cloud solutions for automation, predictive analytics, and enhanced decision-making.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of edge computing and Internet of Things (IoT) integrations.
- Utilize serverless computing and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Implement DevSecOps practices for secure cloud deployments.
- Stay current with emerging trends including quantum computing and cloud sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Hands-on experience in cloud platforms—AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices
- For senior roles: Demonstrated leadership, mentoring abilities, and experience architecting and managing enterprise-scale cloud environments
