About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead operational assessments, business process reviews, and discovery events for Public Safety agencies
- Interview subject matter experts and document customer business processes and findings
- Evaluate business processes and recommend configurations and applications for Motorola mission-critical software
- Facilitate business process reengineering workshops and develop improved workflows
- Design, develop, and deliver training curricula, learning aids, and instructional materials
- Define, coordinate, and lead User Acceptance Testing processes and document results
- Liaise between technical resources, engineers, project managers, and customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to adapt configurable COTS software to client use cases
- Support Project Managers and Program Directors throughout the project lifecycle
- Present analysis results and project updates to customer and internal stakeholders
- Report progress and risks to senior management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in public safety software integration and deployment processes
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of business processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency creating documentation, presentations, and spreadsheets
- 3–5 years of IT business applications or similar related experience
- Preferred experience with computer-aided dispatch, law records management software, and field-based applications
- Experience in business process reengineering for software applications
- Familiarity with Windows-based operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Intermediate XML knowledge
- Familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets
- Knowledge of software deployment methodologies and quality processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering, or related field, or 3+ years of experience in a public safety information technology field
- At least 3 years of experience in Public Safety, Business Analysis, Field Service, CAD, Record Management Systems, or Jail Applications
- Must be a self-motivated team player able to work with general guidance
- Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by the government customer
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer work permit sponsorship is unavailable
- Must pass a stringent fingerprint background check when required under CJIS Security Policy
- Must reside in the United States and close to a major airport due to travel expectations
