About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the focal point and lead cross-functional teams to deliver new or upgraded products/services from inception to completion (or transition).
- Ensure all projects adhere to accepted quality metrics, deadlines, and budget constraints.
- Oversee the overall pre-tax profit and ensure proper management of the three constraints: quality, cost, and time.
- Direct and coordinate the work activities of the project team, ensuring optimal performance and motivation.
- Lead large programs or portions of very complex programs.
- Develop the complete project plan, set deliverable dates, and track progress.
- Utilize standard Project Management tools (schedule, critical path analysis, budget, change order, risk assessment, action item log, etc.) to analyze complex issues and develop effective resolutions.
- Establish, track, and audit project budgets, analyze variances, and develop required action plans.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.
- Manage and communicate changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting and escalating to management as needed.
- Serve as the primary communicator to the customer's organization and relevant internal senior stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of project management experience or 6+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or a similar field.
- Experience forecasting and driving revenue through project management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and other project management methodologies.
- Experience with at least one of the following: Public Safety communications systems, cellular infrastructure, civil construction, Military communications, IT Networks.
- PMP and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
- PM Masters Certificate a plus.
- Understanding of two way radio infrastructure communications products, services, and systems.
- Understanding of local public safety and federal customers, such as police, fire, emergency medical services, government agencies is a plus.
- Must be a self motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s).
