Key responsibilities & impact

The Field Service Technician must live in or be prepared to relocate to the Northern Chicagoland area to support local Public Safety clients.
Responsibilities include providing technical support for specialized systems and product applications.
This involves advanced troubleshooting for software-driven electronics, setting up communication infrastructure, and optimizing RF and Broadband architectures, including legacy analog and advanced digital P25 data systems.
Test, document, optimize, and maintain complex communications systems, providing weekly reports on all progress and activities.
Demonstrate deep expertise in wired communications systems like LAN and WAN, including the installation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling.
Manage and troubleshoot server hardware, operating systems, and software infrastructure to resolve application-level issues.

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience in LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Military, Motorola equipment, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering or Networking equipment.
Must possess a current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to be on-call 24/7/365.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer(s).
