About the role

  • Lead customer presentations
  • System staging
  • Complete system documentation
  • Live system upgrades
  • Ensuring the integrity of the architecture/design
  • Responsible for carrying out field engineering duties during a radio system upgrade cycle
  • Responsible for upgrading/deploying various devices which include network gear, Windows-based devices, virtual machines and Motorola proprietary devices
  • Customer facing technical resource through the upgrade effort
  • Primarily traveling to Northeastern states’ customer locations to carry out their duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT or Networking
  • 5+ years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
  • Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE highly desirable
  • Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) highly desirable
  • Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar, highly desirable
  • Previous knowledge and experience working with some or all of Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, Ceragon, highly desirable
  • Experience directly working with end-user customers is essential
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences is essential.
  • The ability to obtain a CJIS Clearance as needed
