About the role

  • Oversee presales opportunities and development of complex projects, managing all stages from scope definition through project closure
  • Architect and own solutions proposed to public safety customers
  • Work closely with Sales team and various stakeholders to deliver customer driven, world class solutions
  • Develop, construct, evaluate, and refine system solutions and architectures to align with client demands
  • Take an active role in leading and mentoring other engineers within the team
  • Drive sole source & RFP projects to completion
  • Collaborate with project team members in the development of proposed solutions
  • Work with third-party vendors to develop fully integrated solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred; Preferred emphasis in Electrical, Wireless, Computer, Network Engineering or Computer Science
  • 7+ years of experience in sales engineering and/or solutions architecture
  • Strong general knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures - both public and private (e.g. APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G) highly desirable
  • Strong general knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols and security highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets an asset
  • Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo
  • Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset.
