About the role
- Lead customer presentations
- System staging
- Complete system documentation
- Live system upgrades
- Ensuring the integrity of the architecture/design
- Upgrading/deploying various devices including network gear, Windows-based devices, virtual machines and Motorola proprietary devices.
- Customer-facing technical resource through the upgrade effort.
- Traveling to northeastern US states’ customer locations to carry out duties.
Requirements
- High School diploma, Technical Certificates, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT or Networking; or 10+ years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience required.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers.
- Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE is required.
- Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) is required.
- Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar, highly desirable.
- Previous knowledge and experience working with some or all of Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, Ceragon, is required.
- Experience directly working with end-user customers is essential.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences is essential.
- 50-60% travel is required for upgrade projects.
