About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary liaison between MCI Private Sector Sales and Engineering, Sourcing, and Operations
  • Act as the voice of the customer through customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
  • Develop, own, and maintain the coach product roadmap using QFD and other product planning tools
  • Review private sector coach configurations for completeness and technical accuracy
  • Consult with Engineering and other functions during specification reviews to secure technical and commercial buy-in
  • Approve private sector coach specifications, estimated costs, and pricing
  • Create Teamcenter bid packages and communicate specification approvals
  • Develop fast-track configurations with Sales and Marketing
  • Create and maintain fixed cost and price values for coach features and options with Sales and Finance
  • Provide cost and price estimates for customer-requested specials
  • Review vendor offerings, capabilities, costs, lead times, seating, and interior fabric options
  • Maintain the product configurator and visualization tool
  • Review option and special usage annually and recommend product portfolio changes
  • Assimilate customer, sales, and service feedback for Product Planning
  • Update product information, specification sheets, sales presentations, and training materials
  • Compile competitor coach information and maintain the Product Spec Matrix
  • Identify competitive strengths and weaknesses for product planning
  • Coordinate and host customer factory visits
  • Review and support MCI marketing information, including brochures, specification sheets, and webpages
  • Train Sales and Service groups on new products, features, and regulatory changes
  • Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating as required
  • Establish and follow policies and processes supporting regulatory, legal, quality, environmental, health, and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Travel as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent technical experience
  • Experience leading teams and managing projects
  • Detailed technical knowledge of MCI’s product offerings
  • Understanding of BOMs and the coach configuration process, including Coach Structure Charts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience utilizing Power BI and other business intelligence tools
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Some travel is required
