About the role
- Lead claims billing functions, ensuring accurate reconciliation, invoicing, shared savings calculations, and process optimization.
- Manage RX/PBM billing and reconcile pharmacy claims and shared savings.
- Support stop-loss operations, including coordination with third-party carriers and reimbursement tracking.
- Own the billing inbox, client inquiries, AR aging reports, and ACH processing.
- Maintain billing trackers, prepare reports, and support accurate month-end financial reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to resolve complex billing issues.
- Analyze billing trends and variances, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal financial controls.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, or related field preferred.
- 2 + years of billing, accounting, or administrative experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and the ability to analyze large data sets efficiently.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including reconciliations, accruals, and revenue tracking.
- Strong client communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain billing details, resolve questions professionally, and maintain positive client relationships.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify discrepancies, research root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Demonstrated process improvement orientation — proactively identifying inefficiencies and recommending workflow enhancements.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage repetitive or detail-heavy tasks while maintaining precision.
- Ability to work with complex data sets in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality.
