About the role

  • Lead claims billing functions, ensuring accurate reconciliation, invoicing, shared savings calculations, and process optimization.
  • Manage RX/PBM billing and reconcile pharmacy claims and shared savings.
  • Support stop-loss operations, including coordination with third-party carriers and reimbursement tracking.
  • Own the billing inbox, client inquiries, AR aging reports, and ACH processing.
  • Maintain billing trackers, prepare reports, and support accurate month-end financial reporting.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to resolve complex billing issues.
  • Analyze billing trends and variances, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal financial controls.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 2 + years of billing, accounting, or administrative experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and the ability to analyze large data sets efficiently.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including reconciliations, accruals, and revenue tracking.
  • Strong client communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain billing details, resolve questions professionally, and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify discrepancies, research root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated process improvement orientation — proactively identifying inefficiencies and recommending workflow enhancements.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage repetitive or detail-heavy tasks while maintaining precision.
  • Ability to work with complex data sets in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality.
