About the role
- Work with OEM Partnership Team to integrate Motive with automotive manufacturers and third-party program managers
- Integrate with third party APIs for backend and frontend use cases
- Develop systems for maintaining content/branding at scale
- Build new UI components and customize existing ones to meet brand guidelines
- Help architect scalable solutions to support dozens of partners and thousands of customers
- Work directly with internal and external stakeholders for scoping, planning, and approvals
- Report to the CTO and the lead engineer on the OEM team
- Contribute to Motive's largest driver of revenue by moving the business forward
- Build robust integrations between Motive products, business systems, and third-party data sources
- Work in a small, cross-functional engineering team where contributions have immediate impact
Requirements
- An intuition for good design
- 1+ years of React experience
- 1+ years of backend development experience (Ruby on Rails and/or Python preferred)
- Small startup experience (1-20 engineers)
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with great follow-through
- Experience working with external stakeholders on technical projects (preferred)
- Experience integrating with a large number of third party API’s and data sources (preferred)
- Must be a resident of United States
- Workday must overlap by at least 5 hours with Seattle, WA, USA
