About the role
- Motive empowers teams that run physical operations by providing a SaaS platform for safety, operations, and finance to manage drivers, vehicles, equipment, and fleet spend
- As a Web Designer, deliver impactful UI/UX designs for gomotive.com and maintain a consistent evolving design language
- Partner with web strategists, developers, and business stakeholders to design and implement A/B tests, landing pages, and site updates
- Contribute to and maintain the website design system, identifying improvements and ensuring consistency
- Produce high-quality visual designs for desktop and mobile with a focus on responsive design
- Use data, research, and insights to inform design decisions and evaluate trade-offs
- Translate business requirements into customer-centric designs and present design rationale to stakeholders
- Manage a pipeline of work, improve processes, and work with developers on QA to ensure release quality
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a web designer (with experience in-house at a fast-growing SaaS/SW tech company)
- Proven experience with responsive design and best practices
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools
- Experience developing and maintaining modular design systems
- Strong understanding of typography and visual hierarchy
- Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members (Web Strategists, Project Managers, Content, Product Marketing Managers, Engineering)
- Experience preparing design files for developers
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proven ability to be self-motivated and productive within a fully remote team
- Location: Remote, but must be eligible to work within Mexico or Canada
- Portfolio: A strong online portfolio demonstrating relevant web design experience is required
