About the role
- Prepare accounting reports and records in accordance with accounting, corporate and tax principles and standards, within the deadlines, policies, rules and procedures established by Grupo MOTIVA.
- Implement procedural changes arising from accounting and tax legislation, and support updates to corporate technical standards. Prepare and provide monthly trial balances and management consolidations — for trial balances, in the format required by granting authorities — to ensure they accurately reflect the economic and financial position of the business unit and Grupo MOTIVA through periodic preparation and review of trial balances and reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual individual and consolidated financial statements and their corresponding publications in newspapers, to ensure the accuracy of information disclosed to the market, the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários - CVM) for publicly listed companies, shareholders and other stakeholders.
- Responsible for technical analysis of complex matters such as financial assets, lease accounting (arrendamento mercantil), IRU contracts (Indefeasible Rights of Use), fixed and variable concessions (outorgas), corporate restructurings, among others, to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare statutory and ancillary company filings (SPED Contábil, ECF, information for granting authorities) within established deadlines. Calculate and remit the company's federal taxes.
- Support external, internal and granting authority audits by providing required explanations and requested documentation, offering on-site assistance and reviewing assurance reports. Implement changes in tax legislation through analysis, impact studies and adjustments to fiscal systems.
- Maintain technical knowledge and monitor market trends by participating in seminars, forums, and internal and external training, among other activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Active CRC registration (Regional Accounting Council license).
- Knowledge of tax legislation and international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Experience with ERP systems — SAP.
- Availability to work in Jundiaí, São Paulo (SP).
