About the role
- Responsible for managing engineering projects focused on Operational Technology (OT) for roadways;
- Optimize results and drive the area’s competitiveness, ensuring solutions are properly sized and meet customer expectations;
- Manage solutions such as Variable Message Signs (VMS), Traffic Analysis Systems, radars and weather stations, contributing to improved traffic management and monitoring;
- Implement and maintain radio communication solutions (DMR, TETRA, etc.), fiber optics, Wi‑Fi and mobile telephony, ensuring connectivity and operational efficiency;
- Plan and execute projects for mobile and fixed cameras, Automatic Incident Detection (AID) systems and videowalls to optimize surveillance and real-time monitoring;
- Implement solutions for public address (PA) systems, emergency signage, traffic lights, SCADA (Supervisory) systems and others, aiming at safety and operational efficiency in tunnels;
- Assist in defining and detailing the project scope, aligning expectations with stakeholders;
- Establish detailed schedules and define strategic milestones to ensure objectives are met;
- Ensure project implementation by applying the necessary technical and management knowledge for success;
- Continuously monitor project progress, controlling physical and financial performance, and ensuring execution according to plan;
- Manage contracts, ensuring deliveries are completed within the agreed scope, time and cost;
- Serve as the reference for communication on project status, identifying and reporting impediments, risks and improvement opportunities;
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, including delays, unexpected costs and supplier failures;
- Update and share status reports with stakeholders, keeping all parties informed of project progress and results;
- Ensure efficient transition of projects to Operations and Maintenance teams, promoting continuity in deliveries and post-implementation support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Automation and Control, Mechatronics or Electronics, Data Processing, Computer Science or Computer Networks;
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
- MS Project;
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Project Management;
- English (intermediate);
- SAP PS module.
