  • Build Core Platform features for scale, observability, and control to manage a fleet of workloads on MotherDuck.
  • Deeply understand the needs, pain points, and behaviors of data warehousing customers and translate them into clear product direction.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Go-to-Market teams to refine and ship quality features quickly that solve high-priority problems.
  • Proactively drive the product development lifecycle from ideation through launch to continuous improvement.
  • Own market research as a subject matter expert to uncover insights and identify new features and architectural opportunities.
  • Craft and communicate a compelling product roadmap, balancing existing customers and prospects to improve product adoption.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform hypotheses, experiments, and product tradeoffs while delivering elegant solutions for customers.
  • Hybrid role based out of Seattle, New York City, or San Francisco with a three-days-per-week in-office expectation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience with databases, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools in or adjacent to the (Post-) Modern Data Stack.
  • Experience owning complex product surfaces and building platform infrastructure and observability solutions for a technical product and audience.
  • A strong track record of working cross-functionally and driving clarity and alignment to bridge the translation gap between customers and Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and navigating fast-evolving, early-stage startup environments.
  • Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of databases, application development, and data engineering principles.
  • A keen sense of product quality and taste, with a sharp eye for the details, and a desire to take ownership of shaping your Product domain without losing sight of the big picture.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to craft and measure testable hypotheses, prioritize features based on customer impact and strategic objectives, and use metrics and user feedback to align product usage with customer value.
  • Passion for building something distinctive and coming up with creative, unique solutions - you are a first principles thinker who is excited about going beyond the confines of how things have always been done.
