About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, analyze, manage, and resolve field coordination issues with project team members and participants
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons
  • Implement the pre-construction quality plan and obtain and maintain construction permits
  • Develop and maintain material tracking, testing and inspection, concrete placement, and non-conformance documentation
  • Create, oversee, and distribute contract documents
  • Establish electronic document handling procedures, including RFIs and correspondence
  • Support project closeout processes
  • Lead testing and inspection processes for construction quality management
  • Implement the three-phase inspection system and establish reporting, scheduling, and off-site testing procedures
  • Notify the Project Manager and Superintendent of nonconforming test or inspection results
  • Coordinate, package, review, process, expedite, and report on submittals
  • Coordinate subcontractor details, including insurance verification, paperwork, and final payment requests
  • Develop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders
  • Manage revisions and updates to as-built construction documents
  • Mentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers
  • Determine alternative work methods, coordinate safety and compliance, and maintain project timelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years related construction experience
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively run multiple tasks
  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and analytical skills
  • Positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
  • Current driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel 100%
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employment visa sponsorship
