About the role
- Morningstar Corporation: manufacturer of off-grid solar energy power solutions with products in 100+ countries
- Develop and maintain web applications and infrastructure that monitor and control solar and solar hybrid energy systems
- Collaborate with firmware and product development teams to ensure reliable device functionality integration and user interfaces
- Maintain and improve front-end performance for remote or low-bandwidth environments
- Design and implement user-centered features for IoT-enabled products
- 1-year full-time contract; hourly rate range $50 - $75/hr
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Web Development, or appropriate combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience with the following AWS services: Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, Cognito
- 5+ years of experience writing and debugging vanilla Javascript
- 3+ years of experience with React JS
- Familiarity with CloudFormation and AWS SAM
- Experience with production systems, change management
- Knowledge of GDPR and CCPA best practices
- HTML, CSS, accessibility like ARIA guidelines
- Desired: Preact, Typescript, IoT Core experience
- Desired: interfacing with embedded hardware devices
