About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft and negotiate administration and service agreements with private fund clients
- Review client offering, organizational, and subscription documents
- Work with internal teams to provide comments to clients and client counsel
- Implement MSFS technology initiatives such as Online Forms
- Communicate and coordinate daily with internal operational teams globally
- Manage document process workflows
- Ensure document updates are properly implemented, reviewed, and presented to clients with a low tolerance for drafting errors
- Engage directly with clients, in-house and external counsel, investor relations teams, COO/CFOs, and investors
- Coordinate review and resolution of legal-related issues arising from investor services and accounting teams
- Support a broad range of documentation types across private-fund clients
- Keep current with evolving business needs and regulatory changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in a legal role with a law firm, bank, hedge fund administrator, investment adviser, or other investment-management support role
- Experience preparing and presenting subject matter trainings related to alternative investments
- Experience developing team knowledge resources
- Ability to manage issues and deliverables under time-pressure deadlines
- Experience with AML regulation of financial institutions and policy document drafting
- Familiarity with CIMA and Cayman Islands regulation over alternative funds
- ERISA knowledge a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong sense of urgency and excellent judgment
- Collaboration-oriented and able to work with colleagues face-to-face and overseas
- Very strong execution, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
