About the role

  • Advising on core equity sales and trading matters, including agency and facilitation
  • Providing legal support for electronic trading, OTC derivatives, structured products and other structured transactions
  • Assessing and advising on regulatory requirements relating to existing/new/expanded markets and products
  • Responding to regulatory enquiries, market structure reform and policy work
  • Collaborating with country coverage lawyers, external counsel, and Compliance professionals across the APAC region
  • Providing legal advisory support for the Firm’s Taiwan business

Requirements

  • At least 9-10+ years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable international law firm or as in-house counsel at a leading financial institution
  • Experience in advising on equity sales and trading matters
  • First-rate analytical skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently
  • Proactive, organized, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to speak, read and write Chinese and specifically Mandarin will be desirable.
