About the role
- provides technical support and on-site repair/diagnostic services at customer locations CONUS/OCONUS, including potentially austere environments
- supports system end-users, industry partners, and customers by delivering hands-on technical expertise, equipment operation training, and field servicing of Moog designed products
- when not deployed, performs a variety of technical tasks in support of Moog’s Defense Sector programs
- includes mechanical/electrical assembly, prototype and production build support, integration and testing activities, troubleshooting, equipment operation, repair tasks, and technical documentation
- serves as a key interface between field users and Moog engineering and program teams, ensuring high-quality customer support and valuable feedback for product improvements
Requirements
- advanced knowledge of the job, including the practical application of specialized methods and techniques
- a secondary school qualification (i.e., a HS diploma, GED, etc. in the US) or basic vocational/technical education in related discipline
- a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience working as a Field Service Representative, Field Service Technician, A&T, or comparable hands-on technical role
- Experience working in challenging or austere environments, either through defense contracting, military service, or equivalent technical field assignments
- Technical training or trade school education in electrical, avionics, weapon systems, or related areas
- Strong mechanical assembly, blueprint/schematic reading, and equipment operation capabilities
- Skilled in troubleshooting, test procedures, inspection practices, and the use of hand/power tools
- Ability to quickly learn Moog products and systems even when documentation production quantities are limited
- Demonstrated communication skills for working effectively with technical and non-technical customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Valid US Driver License, and the ability to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance
