About the role

  • Manage the delivery of technology for external customers, vendors, and other clients to improve and expand the business.
  • Manage a high-performing team dedicated to maintaining and optimizing critical infrastructure.
  • Oversee system backups, performance tuning, upgrades, and implementing robust security measures.
  • Manage the budget and guarantee seamless, 24-hour monitoring and support.
  • Support important security certification projects and work within federal client boundaries.
  • Coach and mentor DevOps team members.
  • Review priorities and align work with strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a technical lead or manager leading complex, distributed, and remote teams, particularly in large scale environments.
  • Working experience using modern team management methodologies. Agile, SCRUM, are preferred.
  • Knowledge of best practices related to high availability, fault tolerance, performance and disaster recovery.
  • 5 years of Linux/Unix system administration experience and AWS hosted infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Python, PHP, shell scripting or other scripting languages.
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting network, system and application issues.
  • Amazing problem solving, analysis and communication skills.
  • Being available for on-call support and occasional out of hours work.
  • US citizenship with willingness and ability to obtain appropriate security clearances for US government projects.
