About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run and continuously improve systems used to quality assure Monzo’s localised product experiences
- Work with in-language Editors and Testers, Product and Engineering teams, and localisation partners to review translated experiences in the live product
- Create reusable and scalable localisation QA structures and processes for new markets and languages
- Maintain localisation QA processes, including coverage tracking, journey inventories, priorities, QA checks, severity levels and reporting
- Create and maintain reusable test cases, playbooks, test recipes, deeplinks and review resources
- Investigate blockers and work with Product or Engineering teams to resolve them
- Support new feature development by identifying localisation QA needs, translated content locations, journeys and edge cases
- Triage localisation bugs and feedback, identify duplicates and route issues appropriately
- Ensure localisation tickets include build and device details, reproduction steps, screenshots or videos and string identifiers where possible
- Conduct in-product spot checks and coordinate regression re-testing
- Apply straightforward Editor-approved text fixes in translation tooling where appropriate
- Identify opportunities to use automation, AI and internal tooling to improve localisation QA
- Help stakeholders understand localisation coverage, blockers and risks before launches and milestones
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in localisation QA, software QA, internationalisation, language operations or a related area
- Strong focus on the quality and contextual accuracy of customer-facing experiences
- Comfortable testing mobile or web products and complex user journeys
- Ability to turn complicated or manual processes into clear, repeatable workflows
- Ability to prioritise testing based on customer impact and risk
- Confidence working with Engineers, Product Managers, language specialists and other stakeholders
- Ability to investigate problems, reproduce issues and gather resolution information
- Interest in using automation and AI to improve QA workflows
- Keen learner who documents and shares knowledge
- Interest in scaling localisation QA across multiple countries and languages
