Lead
About the role
- Lead delivery of approvals strategy for major clients across South Australia and nationally
- Lead environmental impact assessments and regulatory approvals (EP Act, EPBC Act, bilateral processes)
- Advise clients on approvals pathways, environmental constraints and risk
- Prepare and review reports, referrals, EIS/EMP documentation and submissions
- Liaise with state and federal regulators, clients and community stakeholders
- Mentor junior staff and build local capability
- Support business development and strategic growth in South Australia
- Undertake site visits and balance strategic work with flexible office/home time
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or related field
- Extensive experience in environmental approvals in South Australia or interstate
- Solid understanding of state and Commonwealth environmental legislation (EP Act, EPBC Act, bilateral processes)
- Strong communication and project leadership skills
- Ability to advise clients on approvals pathways, environmental constraints and risk
- Experience preparing and reviewing reports, referrals, EIS/EMP documentation and submissions
- Experience liaising with state and federal regulators, clients and community stakeholders
- Experience mentoring junior staff and building local capability
