About the role

  • Manage all technical, field, financial, and administrative aspects of community ambient air monitoring projects
  • Exercise sound professional judgment and function with minimal direct supervision
  • Operate and maintain ambient air quality monitoring sensors
  • Perform routine bump tests and troubleshooting measures on air quality instrumentation
  • Write and/or assist in the submittal of monitoring reports
  • Coordinate all aspects of client projects, including method research, equipment procurement and rental, travel arrangements, logistics, SOP generation and implementation, and regulatory agency interaction
  • Establish, oversee, and manage project deadlines, communicating updates to clients and team members
  • Instruct and guide personnel under their supervision to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project execution
  • Identify and address quality assurance issues
  • Act as a liaison between clients, personnel, government agency representatives, and laboratory personnel for all testing projects
  • Maintain excellent client relationships through effective communication and customer service skills
  • Plan, manage, and execute client projects, assessing client goals, regulatory requirements, and relevant data to craft technical proposals and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in science or higher, with an emphasis in biology, chemistry, math, or engineering strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience conducting ambient projects in the field
  • Willingness to travel 20% of the time, projects are mostly in Texas
  • Maintain compliance with any random drug testing, DOT, or other required programs
  • Demonstrated understanding of laboratory QA/QC procedures
  • Experience managing client relationships and overseeing client projects, including budgeting and managing project costs
  • Proficient in communicating at all levels of the organization
  • Possess good organizational and scheduling skills and have the ability to prioritize
  • Flexibility to work weekends and afterhours if necessary
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
