About the role
- Plan and develop network structure (LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi), ensuring scalability, security, and documentation
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices in office and data center
- Monitor performance and implement QoS policies
- Configure and manage VLANs for traffic segmentation
- Implement redundant links and failover paths for high availability
- Follow ITIL processes for change and incident management
- Collaborate with IT teams (cloud, security, workplace) and vendors
- Maintain network documentation and SOPs
- Propose improvements and evaluate new networking technologies (SD‑WAN, Wi‑Fi 6/7, automation)
- Advise IT leadership on capacity planning and infrastructure investments
- Work with security team to ensure firewall rules, VPNs and IPS are effective
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or a similar role
- Experience designing and managing enterprise networks (LAN/WAN)
- Configure and manage network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, APs)
- Troubleshooting: excellent diagnosing and resolving complex network issues
- Proficient with TCP/IP, routing (OSPF, BGP) and switching (VLANs, STP)
- Hands-on experience with network security devices and concepts
- Preferred: experience managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Familiarity with SASE solutions (e.g., Prisma Access)
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks
- Bachelor's Degree or vocational training in IT, telecommunications or related field
- Certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNA)
- Languages: Spanish B2 (business), English B2/C1 (business)
- European Union nationality or EU/Spain work permit required
