About the role

  • Support Enterprise sales teams and contribute to renewals and new commercial business.
  • Develop relationships with non-named accounts and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Support AEs with lower-level customer contact, quoting, transaction handling, and forecast maintenance.
  • Build outbound campaigns to engage priority target customers.
  • Manage inbound leads by creating personalised sequences of emails, calls and LinkedIn messages.
  • Propose additional SUSE solutions to resolve customer issues quickly.
  • Operate collaboratively with SUSE teams and partners touching the customer and ecosystem.
  • Execute prospecting, opportunity generation, account mapping, stakeholder engagement, and messaging/outreach.
  • Achieve sales targets, maintain market knowledge, and institutionalize best practices.

Requirements

  • College/University degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of proven professional selling experience, preferably in IT or Data Center sales.
  • Experience & success in selling new business through partners and partner initiatives/projects at senior executive level.
  • Understanding of Open Source, Software Defined Infrastructure or Cloud market (preferred).
  • Related industry knowledge may include Linux, SDS, SDN, HPC, SAP HANA.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to tell a compelling story.
  • Proficient in social selling and use of social media for sales.
  • Understanding of sales methodologies (preferably MEDDPICC) and channel/partner models preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of and/or relationships with assigned partners (role-specific).
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English (additional languages may be required).
