About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate as the right hand to the President in a COO capacity to drive operational and business performance
Maintain ultimate accountability for regional operational performance and outcomes
Use heavy data analysis to assess, interpret, and guide business decisions and strategic direction
Create and implement operational and growth strategies to increase profitability
Set regional performance goals and manage regional performance alongside the President
Function as the Operations Center of Expertise
Manage recruitment, hiring, and training processes for market operations leaders
Create, implement, and manage internal operational policies and procedures
Coach, mentor, and develop market leadership
Drive culture, team building, and employee retention across the assigned region
Support turnaround markets with regional medical leadership
Partner with Client Partnerships and cross-functional stakeholders to improve efficiency and performance
Drive revenue strategy, manage labor and non-labor expenses, and reduce medical expenses with Finance and Med Econ
Execute and oversee strategic and operational projects and new client launches
Assess operational and clinical performance against regional goals
Decrease performance variability across the assigned region
Lead Market and support Regional Monthly Performance Reviews
Ensure financial health and P&L alignment
Enhance community physician relationships in the region

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
Minimum of 5 years of healthcare leadership experience
Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience working in Managed Care or Delegated Risk Partnerships
Proven experience directing and motivating clinical staff and market leaders
Demonstrated verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Advanced degree, such as a master’s degree, MHA, or MBA preferred
Willingness and ability to travel 25% within the given market
