About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the end-to-end design process from research, wireframing, and prototyping to final UI execution.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments to validate design decisions.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure smooth design implementation and pixel-perfect execution.
- Partner with product managers to translate business goals into user-centered design solutions.
- Design scalable UI components and contribute to the evolving design system.
- Create micro-interactions and motion elements that enhance usability and delight users.
- Balance aesthetics with data-driven insights to optimise UX for engagement and conversion.
- Advocate for accessibility (A11y) and inclusive design principles.
- Stay updated on fintech trends and best practices to drive innovation in product design.
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and researchers to craft user-friendly, visually stunning, and highly functional financial experiences.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong grasp of visual design, typography, grids, layout, and colour theory.
- Expertise in interaction design, user flows, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Deep understanding of mobile and web platforms, including responsive and adaptive experiences.
- Understanding of behavioural psychology and its impact on user decisions.
- Experience conducting usability tests, user interviews, and heuristic evaluations.
- Ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable design decisions.
- Proficiency in atomic design principles and scalable UI frameworks.
- Knowledge of Lottie, After Effects, and Principle for motion design and micro-interactions.
- Ability to communicate design rationale to stakeholders and engineers.
- Experience working in agile, fast-paced product teams.
- Figma mastery, including auto layout, design tokens, component variants, interactive prototypes, and design libraries.
- Experience in fintech and/or SaaS environments.
- Strong UX portfolio with case studies demonstrating process, research, impact, and leadership.
- Resume and portfolio showcasing end-to-end product thinking, including research, wireframes, prototypes, and final execution.
