About the role
- Conduct cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence, focusing on embedding models and rerankers
- Partner with the Inference engineering team to put best-in-class models into production
- Collaborate closely with other research scientists and research engineers
- Contribute to development and deployment of next-generation AI models and large neural networks
- Integrate state-of-the-art embedding models with MongoDB's data platform to enable search, RAG, recommendations, and semantic retrieval
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing
- Experience building complex neural networks for language and visual understanding
- Capable of conducting rigorous empirical studies to validate theoretical results
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
