About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Pipeline Management & Enterprise Closing: Own, manage, and scale the sales pipeline for Italy together with the BDRs; targeting mid-market to enterprise-level businesses, platforms, and digital merchants.
  • Strategic Market Expansion: Execute a localised go-to-market strategy for the Italian market, positioning our fintech solutions against local competitors by highlighting our unique value propositions.
  • Complex Deal Negotiation: Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations with Italian C-suite executives, procurement leads, and legal teams, structuring complex commercial contracts that balance profitability with client success.
  • Consultative Selling & Product Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, deeply understanding their payments architecture, checkout friction, or cash-flow challenges to position the optimal fintech solution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Risk, and Legal teams across our offices to ensure our features align with Italian market requirements, customer feedback, and compliance standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional Sales Experience: A proven track record in B2B sales, account management, or business development (typically 4+ years), ideally within fintech, SaaS, payments, or e-commerce platforms.
  • Market Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Italian commercial ecosystem, localised payment preferences, and how Italian businesses evaluate and decide on financial payment options.
  • Tooling: Solid experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or similar, as well as experience with additional tools like Claude, LinkedIn Sales, and Gemini. The abovementioned experience will reduce friction in getting you fully operational within our thorough onboarding phase!
  • Commercial & Analytical Mindset: Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles, handle objections, and close revenue against quarter-on-quarter targets.
  • Location & Workplace Presence: You must be currently based in - or willing to relocate to - the Amsterdam area. While we champion hybrid flexibility, regular in-person collaboration at our Amsterdam office is vital for strategic alignment, team synergy, and staying connected to our core culture.
