About the role
- Work closely with the credit risk team to drive the performance of our product suite (BNPL, factoring, etc.).
- Responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of our merchants, as well as of the buyers in their platforms.
- Use SQL and Python/R to extract insights from vast datasets, identifying trends in borrower behavior and macroeconomic shifts.
- Spearhead our strategic decisioning for our most valued transactions.
- Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to steer the development of our underwriting policy and score cards that optimize for both conversion and risk.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science).
- Solid technical skills in:
- - SQL: Proficiency in querying large databases is a must.
- - Business Intelligence: Experience with BI tools - ideally Metabase.
- - Programming: Foundational knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation.
- At least 1 year of (internship) experience in a credit or financial analyst role.
- Strong understanding of factoring, credit risk or similar functions.
- Inquisitive mindset, plus interest in learning new methodologies and AI tools.
- Solid interpersonal skills to help you deal with stakeholders across the business.
- You are ambitious, curious and resilient with a can-do attitude, always with a suggestion for a solution.
- You thrive in teams within a fast-paced and dynamic environment (change is the norm, not the exception).
