About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop professional relationships with customers and optimize base sales, NPD and promotions
  • Support execution of sales plans for assigned customers and outlets
  • Improve product availability, visibility and promotional execution while supporting sales growth and profitability
  • Ensure optimum product availability, visibility and shelf placement across customer outlets
  • Execute merchandising standards to achieve maximum visual impact at the point of purchase
  • Implement and monitor promotional activities, including placement of point-of-buying materials
  • Visit customer outlets to check stock availability, displays, pricing and promotional compliance
  • Track promotional execution and report results, gaps and competitor activity
  • Build positive working relationships with customers and outlet teams
  • Support sales negotiations and follow up on agreed actions
  • Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement using available data
  • Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service and other internal teams to resolve operational issues
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular sales and activation reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related discipline is preferred
  • A relevant diploma combined with practical experience may also be considered
  • Approximately 1–2 years of experience in sales, account support, merchandising or a customer-facing role, preferably within FMCG/CPG
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship, field sales or merchandising experience may also be considered
  • No specific professional certification is required
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel between customer locations may be required, depending on the market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of basic sales and negotiation principles
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Commercial awareness, including a basic understanding of sales performance and profitability
  • Perseverance, attention to detail and a results-focused mindset
  • Ability to build effective customer relationships and follow through on commitments
  • Good planning, organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with the wider team
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other reporting tools
