About the role

  • Support spend category teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies for specific spend categories
  • Analyze spend data and understand the business needs under 7 step sourcing framework
  • Provide market and supplier insights to maximize opportunities
  • Conduct bids and negotiate high value supply agreements with key suppliers
  • Execute complex sourcing strategies with a range of different interventions
  • Give regular strategy updates and presentations to senior leadership stakeholders
  • Support Clif Bar Ingredient Sourcing migration to MDLZ
  • Select, build, and maintain long term relationships with supplier network
  • Drive ideation on cost saving projects with suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Proactively identify supply continuity risks and develop mitigation plans

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in Sourcing/ Supply Chain
  • Food industry experience preferred
  • Have experience selecting and managing suppliers, including negotiating price, risk management, and contract management.
  • Global or matrix organization experience is a plus
