About the role

  • Lead and embed robust systems to monitor, evaluate and report on clinical standards of assessment, care and service delivery
  • Drive compliance and quality improvement aligned to legislative and accreditation requirements
  • Provide expert advice to Operations Managers and senior leaders on risk management, audit outcomes and clinical performance trends
  • Oversee audit programs, clinical incident data reporting and clinical review recommendations
  • Provide oversight to Quality Partners and support analysis of key clinical indicators
  • Strengthen documentation standards, audit readiness and risk mitigation strategies
  • Support investigations of critical incidents and adverse events
  • Develop and review clinical policies, guidelines and procedures to reflect best practice and regulatory change
  • Deliver education, mentoring and support to facility and service leaders to build capability in quality and compliance

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in quality, safety and risk management within aged care or health services, essential
  • Strong knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation, essential
  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse, essential
  • The ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, sustainable systems
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • A passion for continuous improvement and resident-centred care
  • Experience with audit programs, clinical data analysis and accreditation processes.
