About the role
- Supports effective collaboration between the Mental Health Program and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
- Ensures consumers, their families and carers are supported to access and receive appropriate NDIS supports.
- Provides expert guidance on the NDIS participant pathway.
- Builds workforce capability and work alongside senior clinicians to support coordinated care and timely discharge planning for consumers with complex psychosocial needs.
- Leads partnerships, provides secondary consultation, and embeds contemporary NDIS practice across the program.
Requirements
- You are an experienced mental health Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with strong NDIS knowledge and demonstrated leadership capability.
- You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and use these to build capability within the mental health workforce to proactively engage and support consumers throughout NDIS access and service provision.
- You are a collaborative, values-driven leader who works effectively with partners within and beyond the Mental Health Program to achieve the best outcomes for consumers and contribute to system-wide improvement across Monash Health.
