About the role

  • These positions provide an exciting opportunity to join the paediatric endocrinology team at Monash Childrens’ Hospital.
  • The role includes outpatient clinics in diabetes and endocrinology.
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team in the Department of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes and participation in a pro rata on call roster.
  • These permanent positions aim to increase individual SMS fractions to reduce fragmentation and improve workforce structure.
  • The successful candidates on larger fractions will attract clinical support time and portfolios covering quality and safety, research and teaching are available.
  • You will be expected to provide supervision of junior staff and be involved in teaching of junior medical staff and medical students.
  • Research is an integral component of the department, and you will be expected to participate in this.

Requirements

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team focus and an innovative approach
  • Has the appropriate level of clinical knowledge and skills to undertake the role of Consultant
  • Has the appropriate level of relevant clinical experience to undertake the specific role
  • Working with Children's Certificate
