About the role
- Provide effective management of the day to day running of the Unit, including rostering, meeting quality standards and key performance indicators, managing recruitment and retention, fiscal management for the unit.
- Ensure best nursing standards and evidence based practice in care delivery care for residents during their recovery journey.
- Assist the Operations Manager to provide outstanding and effective leadership, coordination and management of the service.
- Implement and support new models of care that ensure streamlined and effective access to services, service delivery and coordinated care.
Requirements
- A minimum Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing – or completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or specialist post basic course of training which led to registration as a Division 3 nurse.
- A minimum of 5 years full time equivalent post graduate qualification in Mental Health Services
- Demonstrated Management, Clinical Leadership & Service Delivery experience in a similar role
- Superior Time Management & Communication skills
- Genuine thirst for learning and open to further study
- Thrive working in an inclusive & collaborative team environment
- Proactive in supporting colleagues at all levels as well as mentoring others
