About the role
- Join our team as a Nurse Manager on a full time ongoing to work at Special Care Nursery based at Sandringham Hospital
- Clinical and operational leadership role responsible for clinical and operational outcomes and management of staff
- Reporting to the Operations Manager - Newborn Services
- Works collaboratively with a fantastic group of people who are inclusive and passionate
- Nursing leadership is pivotal within Monash Newborn to ensure the delivery of safe and quality patient care and the pursuit of excellence in patient and family centred care, research and education
- Management of nursing resource to the unit to maintain High standards of Nursing Care
- Role modelling and staff engagement through ongoing communication within the team
- Monitoring and managing unit budgets and target activity maintaining financial responsibility and accountability
- Workforce management and strategy
- Discharge coordination
- Operating a Family Centred Care Model within our unit and aim to provide high quality care to our babies and their families
Requirements
- Leadership and management experience in Neonatal Nursing
- Superior time management and communication skills
- A genuine thirst for learning and open to further study
- The ability to thrive working in an inclusive and collaborative team environment
- A demonstrated proactive approach in supporting colleagues at all levels as well as mentoring others
- Dedication to safe best practice and quality family centred care
- An enthusiastic, compassionate approach
