Support Engineer

• Own IT support operations — serve as the initial point of contact for hardware, software, and access requests across our fully distributed team, triaging and resolving issues efficiently with a high standard for response time and quality.
• Build Scalable Automations and AI Workflows — build and maintain automations and AI workflows using tools like Okta Workflows, n8n, OpenAI, Claude and similar platforms to streamline provisioning, requests, and routine operational work.
• Administer core SaaS tools and access management — manage and improve user provisioning, de-provisioning, and identity governance across Monarch's software stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and others) through Okta and ConductorOne, partnering closely with HR and Ops on onboarding and off-boarding workflows.
• Support and strengthen our security posture — help implement and maintain IT security best practices including endpoint protection, SSO/MFA enforcement, and compliance with data privacy standards.
• Manage device lifecycle and MDM — oversee procurement, configuration, deployment, and off-boarding of employee devices through our MDM platform (Kandji) and logistics partners, ensuring security and compliance at every stage.
• Identify opportunities to scale and improve — proactively spot inefficiencies in our IT processes, recommend and deploy tooling improvements, and help build scalable documentation and self-service resources as the team grows.

IT Support Engineer

• Own and evangelize the "ai enablement map" across the company, where are we using AI, low to high, etc.
• **Embed with teams to find and fix inefficiency**: Rotate through functions (Product, Design, Marketing, Support, and beyond) in 1-2 week engagements. Audit workflows, map repetitive tasks, identify the highest-leverage automation opportunities, build the solution, train the team, and document the results.
• **Build agents and automations**: Develop task-specific AI agents and workflows (e.g., copywriting agents in Linear, research synthesis tools, automated status updates, monitoring bots) using whatever ships fastest: n8n, Claude, MCP integrations, Notion automations, or custom tooling.
• **Create reusable enablement materials**: Build prompts, recipes, and templates that teams can self-serve from after your engagement ends. Make the work stick.
• **Evaluate and govern AI tools**: Support AI tool POCs (Cursor, Replit, V0, and whatever comes next), maintain documentation on approved tools and best practices, and feed learnings back into company-wide AI fluency programming.
• **Measure and communicate impact**: Track what worked, what didn't, and quantify time/effort saved. Present results to leadership and use them to prioritize future engagements.

Software Engineering Intern – Summer 2026

• Apply AI to Real Financial Problems: Use GenAI and ML to help users make sense of their money, whether that's understanding spending patterns, surfacing actionable insights, or automating tedious financial tasks. You'll identify where AI can make a meaningful difference and build solutions that users rely on daily.
• Choose the Right Tool for Each Problem: Navigate the AI toolkit thoughtfully. Know when a well-crafted prompt suffices, when retrieval systems add value, and when custom models are worth the investment. You'll balance innovation with pragmatism to ship features that work reliably at scale.
• Ship with Confidence: Leverage and enhance our sophisticated evaluation framework to ensure AI quality. You'll design test datasets, implement new scorers, and use our Braintrust-based eval system to validate changes before they reach users.
• You Own: AI feature development, agent design and orchestration, ML model improvements, evaluation datasets and scorers, prompt engineering, and feature-level quality.
• AI Platform Owns: LLM routing and provider management, observability and cost attribution, infrastructure reliability, and shared AI services.

Analytics Engineer

• Build new datasets and pipelines while also helping to update and improve our existing data infrastructure
• Run end-to-end analytics projects, from ingesting new data into our data warehouse (we use Fivetran & Snowflake), to transforming in DBT, to building user-facing dashboards in our BI tools

• Scale, automate, and optimize existing GRC, compliance, and customer assurance programs, including security questionnaires, evidence requests, trust center content, and knowledge base.
• Optimize and automate an existing third-party risk program by improving risk signal quality, automating evidence collection, and reducing assessment cycle time.
• Evaluate, implement and maintain GRC tooling (Vanta, Drata, SafeBase, etc.) with a focus on AI-powered automation to minimize operational overhead.
• Mature existing SOC 2 program by strengthening continuous controls monitoring, reducing audit prep effort, and increasing confidence in automated evidence completeness.
• Research, recommend and implement additional frameworks and attestations (ISO 27001, CSA STAR, etc.) to position Monarch as a security leader in personal finance.
