• Apply AI to Real Financial Problems: Use GenAI and ML to help users make sense of their money, whether that's understanding spending patterns, surfacing actionable insights, or automating tedious financial tasks. You'll identify where AI can make a meaningful difference and build solutions that users rely on daily.
• Choose the Right Tool for Each Problem: Navigate the AI toolkit thoughtfully. Know when a well-crafted prompt suffices, when retrieval systems add value, and when custom models are worth the investment. You'll balance innovation with pragmatism to ship features that work reliably at scale.
• Ship with Confidence: Leverage and enhance our sophisticated evaluation framework to ensure AI quality. You'll design test datasets, implement new scorers, and use our Braintrust-based eval system to validate changes before they reach users.
• You Own: AI feature development, agent design and orchestration, ML model improvements, evaluation datasets and scorers, prompt engineering, and feature-level quality.
• AI Platform Owns: LLM routing and provider management, observability and cost attribution, infrastructure reliability, and shared AI services.
• Together You Own: End-to-end feature quality, evaluation frameworks, production incident response, and AI roadmap priorities.

Software Engineer, AI – Senior/Staff

Analytics Engineer

• Build new datasets and pipelines while also helping to update and improve our existing data infrastructure
• Run end-to-end analytics projects, from ingesting new data into our data warehouse (we use Fivetran & Snowflake), to transforming in DBT, to building user-facing dashboards in our BI tools
• Partner with PMs and engineering managers to define and develop KPIs
• Provide data and insights to inform business decisions and share results with the broader company and leadership team
• Analyze user behavior to understand product/feature usage and predict long-term cohort health
• Enable self-service analytics by training users on our BI tool and building clean, easy-to-use data models

Senior Analytics Engineer

Security Engineer

• Scale, automate, and optimize existing GRC, compliance, and customer assurance programs, including security questionnaires, evidence requests, trust center content, and knowledge base.
• Optimize and automate an existing third-party risk program by improving risk signal quality, automating evidence collection, and reducing assessment cycle time.
• Evaluate, implement and maintain GRC tooling (Vanta, Drata, SafeBase, etc.) with a focus on AI-powered automation to minimize operational overhead.
• Mature existing SOC 2 program by strengthening continuous controls monitoring, reducing audit prep effort, and increasing confidence in automated evidence completeness.
• Research, recommend and implement additional frameworks and attestations (ISO 27001, CSA STAR, etc.) to position Monarch as a security leader in personal finance.

Security GRC Analyst

Engineering Manager

• Lead and Grow the Team: Manage engineers across both AI and AI Platform teams. You'll provide mentorship, give direct feedback, and create growth opportunities for a senior team that values autonomy and impact.
• Set Technical Direction: Partner with your team to define the AI roadmap, including where we invest, what we build vs. buy, and how we balance innovation with reliability. You'll help make architectural decisions and ensure we're building systems that scale.
• Deliver with Quality: Own delivery for AI initiatives across the product. You'll work with Product and Design to scope projects, ensure we ship with confidence through robust evaluation, and maintain the reliability users depend on.
• Build Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with Infrastructure on platform needs, with Product on roadmap priorities, and with leadership on AI strategy. You'll represent the AI teams across the organization.
• Hire Thoughtfully: Help grow the team by identifying great talent, running effective interviews, and making hiring decisions that strengthen the team's culture and capabilities.

Senior Engineering Manager, AI

Accountant

• Own day-to-day accounting responsibilities including accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and recurring journal entries
• Support month-end close by preparing schedules, tie-outs, and journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Partner with the Senior Accountant and Controller to transition processes from an outsourced provider to internal ownership
• Help improve and document accounting processes and controls to support audit readiness and scalability
