About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build Momentive Software’s first dedicated Account Management team from the ground up
- Define team structure, territories, hiring plan, duties, processes, tools, quotas, and targets
- Recruit, onboard, hire, and coach the first Account Managers
- Establish the Account Management function’s retention, renewal, and expansion operating model
- Own net revenue retention across Momentive’s client portfolio
- Set quota, compensation recommendations, and success metrics with Sales leadership and RevOps/Finance
- Coach Account Managers through pipeline reviews, call shadowing, and account planning sessions
- Own forecasting for retention, expansion, and renewal bookings
- Report forecasts monthly and quarterly to sales leadership
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Support, and Professional Services
- Build playbooks, templates, account plans, QBR decks, renewal scripts, and enablement materials
- Bring client insights into product and roadmap discussions
- Monitor the association and nonprofit technology landscape and competitive dynamics
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of B2B SaaS sales or account management experience
- At least 3 years leading a team
- Track record of building a function, program, or team from scratch
- Direct experience owning retention and expansion revenue against NRR targets
- Experience hiring, onboarding, and coaching account management or sales talent
- Comfort operating in a private equity-backed environment with near-term performance expectations
- Experience with executive-level client stakeholders and multi-threaded accounts
- Familiarity with association, nonprofit, or membership technology space is a plus
- Salesforce or comparable CRM experience for forecasting, pipeline, and account management
- Gong, Salesloft, or equivalent sales engagement and conversation intelligence tools
- Microsoft Office 365, including Excel for reporting and quota modeling
- Strong people leadership and ability to hold a team accountable
- Ability to build structure and process where none exists
- Clear, direct communication and cross-functional alignment skills
- Strategic thinking and attention to individual account details
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to verify identity and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
