About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and close new business opportunities within the Romanian SME and mid-market segments to drive rapid market share growth
- Build and maintain a robust outbound pipeline through strategic prospecting, networking, and high-activity outreach
- Pitch Mollie’s localised value proposition, focusing on our easy integration and superior checkout experience for Romanian consumers
- Negotiate and close complex deals, managing the full sales cycle from initial discovery to go-live
- Provide local market insights to our Product and Marketing teams to ensure our offering stays ahead of Romanian merchant needs
- Maintain meticulous CRM records in Hubspot to ensure accurate forecasting and transparent pipeline management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional fluency in Romanian and English is essential
- A proven track record of exceeding targets in a B2B SaaS or fintech sales environment
- Deep knowledge of the Romanian e-commerce ecosystem and local payment preferences
- A self-starter "hunter" mentality with the discipline to build a territory from scratch
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders
- Strong technical aptitude to explain payment integrations and API benefits to prospective partners
