About the role
- Execute complex upgrades and conversions of SAP systems;
- Plan and perform SAP upgrades (NetWeaver, EHP, SPS, Kernel) in development, quality and production environments;
- Lead conversions from SAP ECC to S/4HANA (pre-checks, simplification item analysis and custom code adjustments);
- Perform updates, system copies and client copies;
- Perform Operating System and Database migrations, Unicode conversions and HANA database upgrades;
- Conduct conversion tests (mock conversions), dry runs and cutover planning for production;
- Use tools such as SUM, Maintenance Planner, DMO and SPAM/SAINT during technical processes;
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility and readiness for upgrades/conversions;
- Investigate and resolve technical issues during and after migrations;
- Document procedures performed and lessons learned;
- Stay up to date with the SAP roadmap, release strategy and upgrade/conversion best practices;
- Other routine tasks as required.
Requirements
- Strong experience in SAP Basis;
- Solid knowledge of SAP architecture;
- Hands-on experience with system conversions, upgrades, copies and SAP migrations;
- Experience with conversions to SAP S/4HANA;
- Knowledge of tools: SUM, Maintenance Planner, DMO, SPAM/SAINT;
- Experience with HANA migrations;
- Experience with Unicode conversions;
- Bachelor's degree required;
- Preferred: Experience with ECS (Enterprise Cloud Services).
