About the role

  • Execute complex upgrades and conversions of SAP systems;
  • Plan and perform SAP upgrades (NetWeaver, EHP, SPS, Kernel) in development, quality and production environments;
  • Lead conversions from SAP ECC to S/4HANA (pre-checks, simplification item analysis and custom code adjustments);
  • Perform updates, system copies and client copies;
  • Perform Operating System and Database migrations, Unicode conversions and HANA database upgrades;
  • Conduct conversion tests (mock conversions), dry runs and cutover planning for production;
  • Use tools such as SUM, Maintenance Planner, DMO and SPAM/SAINT during technical processes;
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility and readiness for upgrades/conversions;
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues during and after migrations;
  • Document procedures performed and lessons learned;
  • Stay up to date with the SAP roadmap, release strategy and upgrade/conversion best practices;
  • Other routine tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in SAP Basis;
  • Solid knowledge of SAP architecture;
  • Hands-on experience with system conversions, upgrades, copies and SAP migrations;
  • Experience with conversions to SAP S/4HANA;
  • Knowledge of tools: SUM, Maintenance Planner, DMO, SPAM/SAINT;
  • Experience with HANA migrations;
  • Experience with Unicode conversions;
  • Bachelor's degree required;
  • Preferred: Experience with ECS (Enterprise Cloud Services).
