About the role
- Work on a global project to deliver commercial tools in the countries where Santander operates;
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible, high-performance web applications;
- Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration;
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting best practices and technical growth;
- Participate in defining standards, processes, and development best practices;
- Other routine tasks as required.
Requirements
- Knowledge of distributed microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and RESTful APIs;
- Experience developing microservices with Java Spring Boot and Apache Kafka;
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript;
- Experience with modern frameworks such as React and Angular;
- Understanding of responsive design principles, accessibility, and web performance;
- Familiarity with build tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines;
- Knowledge of automated testing (Jest, Cypress, JUnit);
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases;
- Knowledge of collaborative tools (Jira and Confluence);
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
- Proactivity, organization, and critical thinking;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Continuous learning;
- Preferred: Previous experience developing software at large financial institutions;
- Languages: Advanced English and Spanish are a plus.
