About the role
- Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers and clients daily.
- Lead and support ideation sessions, workshops, and presentations with clients online and in-person.
- Translate user needs and business goals into UX foundations via user interviews, journey maps, workflows, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and testing.
- Produce innovative visual designs that are unique and distinct to the client’s brand.
- Ensure final design concepts are on-budget and deliver on product strategy goals.
- Support Engineers through implementation by providing clear, comprehensive design specifications.
- Help set the bar for our core design values and have a voice in improving our design process.
- Give and receive design critiques to help constantly refine and push our work.
- Participate in early sales conversations to understand client needs, constraints, and goals.
- Contribute to design estimates, scoping, and phased approaches in partnership with the internal delivery team.
- Support proposal and RFP responses by articulating design strategy, approach, and rationale.
- Help identify risks, assumptions, and tradeoffs before work begins.
Requirements
- 7+ years designing digital products that have shipped and scaled.
- Experience working directly with external clients in a consultancy or agency setting, including presenting work and incorporating feedback.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience presenting design decisions to non-design stakeholders.
- Proven experience responding to RFPs and contributing to client proposals.
- Experience shaping project scope, estimating design work, and planning within constraints.
- A portfolio with at least 3 end-to-end examples demonstrating your proficiency in information, interaction, interface, and visual design.
- A track record of shipping designs across various platforms (web, mobile, native applications etc.) and for common libraries such as Apple HIG and Material Design.
- Expertise in Figma, including building and maintaining scalable, accessible design systems.
- A track record of designing within technical constraints and delivering developer-ready design documentation and guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI into your design process, with real-world examples showing impact, quality, and rigor.
