About the role
- Complete walk around inspections of rolling stock
- Monitors chip unloading conveyors and ensures chips are going to correct locations
- Visually monitors the quality of chips
- Operates loader and monitors that it is running correctly and efficiently
- Performs basic maintenance tasks
- Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
- Follow all established standard operating procedures
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years operating heavy equipment (preferably loaders).
- Fork lift / Front End Loader certified or ability to pass skills assessment.
- Understanding of load limits, machine controls, and site safety procedures.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, not required.
