About the role
- Manage a portfolio of clients having varied requirements for document processing relating to Import/Export and other similar businesses
- Coordinate with various parties on behalf of the client e.g. Freight and forwarding agent/shipping company, Insurance agent, banks etc to procure necessary information and documents for onward submission of documents under Letter of Credit (LC).
- Counter check all documents like purchase/sale contracts, Bill of lading/AWB, Inspection documents etc, received with reference to the LC
- Examine any additional documents/certificates requirement in terms of the LC and prepare/arrange for the same
- Ensure correct submissions to the bank within stipulated time frame
- Coordinate for any discrepancies that may be raised by the bank and ensure settlement of the same.
- Maintain tracking sheet of various shipments and the respective timelines to ensure tasks are completed well within deadlines
- Any ad hoc duties that may be assigned by clients under the BPO portfolio.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Export Import management or International Trade preferred
- Relevant work experience of 1-3 years
- Good working knowledge of UCP600 and other international trade guidelines and practices.
- Able to work under strict deadlines.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Access to Laptop/Computer with specific specifications
- Internet speed of minimum 50 mbps
