About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with wholesalers, plumbing contractors, kitchen and bath dealers, and other partners
- Support customers through regular check-ins, thoughtful communication, and a consistent sales call schedule
- Share product knowledge and implement merchandising, marketing, and promotional programs that align with customer goals
- Collaborate closely with Territory Managers, Strategic Account Managers, and Business Development teams to support shared success
- Maintain open communication and follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction and ongoing partnership
- Listen to customer feedback and monitor local market trends to better understand evolving needs
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements to strengthen connections and brand presence
- Develop and care for a territory plan that supports sustainable growth and long-term relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of field sales experience within the building materials or related industry
- Demonstrated ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers and partners
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on listening and understanding
- Ability to work independently while staying connected and responsive to team and customer needs
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel (approximately 1–2 nights per quarter)
